Quality Policy
We continually monitor and manage quality across all our operations. Our subsidiaries are certified to the ISO 9001:2015 standard, which means they meet the rigid manufacturing and quality management standards set by the ISO, the International Standards Organization.
Conflict Minerals
Conflict minerals are minerals mined in conditions of armed conflict and human rights abuses, notably in the eastern provinces of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, by the Congolese National Army and various armed rebel groups, including the Democratic Forces for the Liberation of Rwanda.
REACH Directive
REACH is the EU regulation governing the placement on the market of chemical substances. It is an acronym for the “Registration, Evaluation and Authorization of Chemicals”. FRABA does not manufacture or distribute any product that intentionally release chemicals, or any substances of concern, as described in the REACH Directive. Therefore our products are not affected by the REACH Directive and do not require registration.
RoHS Directive
RoHS is the EU Directive that restricts the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic products (EEE products). RoHS mandates that EEE products must not contain more than 0.1% (except for cadmium which is limited to 0.01%) by weight of homogenous material of any of listed substances. Homogenous material means a material that cannot be mechanically disjointed into different materials.FRABA complies with all of the requirements of the RoHS (2002/95/EC) and RoHS2 (2011/65/EU) directives.
Product specific certificates are available on request.
EU Packaging & Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR)
The EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (EU) 2025/40 (PPWR) governs the placing of packaging on the EU market, setting requirements on substances of concern, recyclability, recycled content and labelling. As a manufacturer, POSITAL B.V. takes responsibility for the packaging used for its products and continuously assesses it against the new requirements.
POSITAL B.V. has issued an EU Declaration of Conformity in accordance with Annex VIII of Regulation (EU) 2025/40 (PPWR), covering the packaging used for POSITAL products (as listed in the declaration).
The declaration confirms, in particular, conformity with Article 5 (substances of concern): our packaging complies with the limit of 100 mg/kg for the sum of lead, cadmium, mercury and hexavalent chromium, and meets the REACH requirements for substances of very high concern (SVHC).
For the remaining articles of the Regulation (recyclability, recycled content, bio-based plastic, compostability, minimization, reusability and labelling), conformity assessment depends on implementing and delegated acts that the European Commission has not yet published. Our declaration will be updated as soon as these acts become available.
WEEE Directive
The WEEE directive is intended to prevent waste consisting of electrical and electronic equipment from being introduced to the waste stream. If the device is covered under the directive, it places the responsibility for disposal, and or recycling, of WEEE on its producer.
Products manufactured or distributed by FRABA are not covered in the scope of the WEEE Directive because they do not fall within any of the defined product categories. Our products are always integrated in larger systems or pieces of equipment, and therefore are not "stand-alone" equipment as defined by the Technical Adaptation Committee (TAC).
