Installation Leaflet for Incremental Encoders

UL 508 Conformity

When the product is marked with an UL label, it should be complying to the following regulations:

exclamation_mark_2_red_version_30x30px The product shall be used in NFPA 79 Applications only. All used cables shall have appropriate temperature, voltage and current ratings. Only CYJV2/8 cables shall be used for the connection to the connectors.

exclamation_mark_2_red_version_30x30px Only cables recognized in AVLV2/8 shall be used for the connection to the cable glands. The diameter of these cables shall be within the clamping range of the cable gland. Adapters providing field wiring means are available from the manufacturer. Refer to the product manual or contact the customer support.

Safety Instructions

  • Do not remove or mount the connection cap while the encoder is under power.
  • Do not stand on the encoder.
  • Do not adapt the driving shaft additionally.
  • Do not connect the absolute rotary encoder without using the machine chassis or a separate potential compensating line for main signal ground connection.
