As tools for measuring rotary motion in machinery, magnetic rotary encoders have a lot to offer. They are compact, robust and relatively inexpensive. In this White Paper, we describe the unique technology employed in the MAGNETOCODE series of encoders and therefore its advantages. A brief comparison to optical encoders is also provided to give a point of reference.
