2009In July 2009 the first Asian subsidiary has been opened up in Singapore. 2007With the inauguration of the manufacturing plant in Poland, the computerization of manufacturing processes, the new internet-based EDP system, and the foundation of CENTICODE and CENTITECH as the first R&D companies the FRABA Group has been able to successfully implement fundamental and future-oriented structural changes. The Group had circa 90 employees in 2007 and was able to achieve an average growth of 12% despite all the internal endeavors.2005Since 2000 FRABA has grown by more than 50% while the workforce has increased to 75 people. The newly established INTACTON GmbH has developed novel contact-free length and velocity sensors and moved into the MST.factory Dortmund. 2000The FRABA workforce has increased to 60 people. In August 2000 the first foreign subsidiary has been opened up in Princeton, New Jersey, USA. 1998FRABA has completed its turnaround and grows profitably. It employs 50 people of which 30 % are highly trained technical specialists or hold master degrees in electronics, physics, mechanical engineering, or business. 1993Dr. Achim and Christian Leeser and Axel Wiemann take over the company. By now the workforce had decreased to 110 people. With a new management team the new owners completely restructure the company into a group of three independent companies combined by a common Mission and Guiding Principles. 1978After several bad decisions and missed chances, one nephew sells his shares to his cousin. FRABA employs about 200 people now. 1970FRABA sells its medical systems division to the Braun, Melsungen company. The same year we produce the first absolute opto-electronic rotary encoder in Germany. 1968Mr. Baumgartner retires at the age of eighty, two nephews take over. FRABA employs 400 people now. 1960FRABA diversifies with the first mobile dialysis system into medical systems. 1945FRABA continues with pioneering work in electric and electronic systems and becomes a strong participant in the German "Wirtschaftswunder". 1939Being a pioneer in electric control systems, Mr. Baumgartner was able to grow to employ 90 highly trained specialists, producing relays for all of Europe. 1918Mr. Franz Baumgartner founded FRABA based on a patent for a "Petri Switch". "
