Product IndroductionA new version with integrated
CANopen interface was added to the magnetic encoder line MCD that was
introduced by POSITAL in 2007. First samples are available since March
2008, series production is scheduled for July 2008.
ApplicationThe
encoder line MCD was designed to become a cost efficient alternative
for applications where, in the past, only incremental or potentiometric
rotary encoders could be used. However its small dimensions, of only
36mm diameter and 48mm length, open up new application potentials, such
as in medical technology, and in small- scale drive systems, elevator
systems, mobile machinery, wind and solar energy etc.
TechnologyHigh-resolution
absolute encoder is based on magnetical technology. Singleturn encoding
is based on a 360° Hall technology. Multiturn encoding based on an
innovative magnetic pulse counter without backup battery.
